I was just looking through the Advanced LSAT Prep Courses, and would just like to ask some questions on the syllabus. For the questions used for each lesson, are they from older practice tests? I have already solved around 40 practice tests and would like to know whether these are questions that I have already reviewed.

I am comparing this course to the On Demand Course to see which one would suit me better.

Hi LSAT,

Thanks for the question! The Advanced Logic Games Course uses games from 12 different LSATs, ranging from the October 1991 though the June 2009 LSAT. The Advanced Logical Reasoning Courses uses more than 95 LR questions, ranging from the June 1991 LSAT through the October 2010 LSAT.

Questions from LSAT tests administered in recent years have generally been avoided to preserve those tests for use as fresh practice exams. However, there's a chance you have seen some of the questions included in the Advanced Courses. That's totally fine — encountering any LSAT test questions a second time will not be detrimental to your studies. :)

As for which option to go with, the Advanced Courses or the On Demand Course, the answer primarily depends on where you are in your studies.

The Advanced courses are ideal for students who want to go deeper in their understanding of the LSAT. Because these courses build upon the ideas used in our books and other courses, students who wish to enroll are strongly encouraged to already have a strong grasp of the LSAT and PowerScore methodologies. The On Demand Course is a more comprehensive course, and is best if you're working on the more fundamental concepts.

I hope this helps! Let us know if you have any additional questions!

Will I be assigned to a teacher who answers my questions? Would love to know more about the learning process.

Hi LSAT,

The Advanced Courses are all prerecorded lectures, so you won't have access to a live instructor with those classes. The On Demand Course is prerecorded as well, but the benefit of that course is that it does come with an instructor homework hotline, where you can call in weekday evenings to get your homework or course questions answered.

Thanks!

Can I ask whether the courses only available online? I have a hard time focusing using the computer and would like to print materials or have a book in hand when studying/review. For example, would I be able to print out the selected questions featured in the course?

Also is there a tutoring service involved in the course? For Q&A? Would just like to clarify!

With the Advanced Course, you don't receive any course books, but you can print out the questions that are used in the course. The On Demand Course comes with hard-copy course books you will use, and you also have the option to print out additional information online.

Neither course comes with private tutoring; this would be a separate purchase (you can find out more information about our tutoring here: https://www.powerscore.com/lsat/tutoring/). However, the On Demand Course does have the homework hotline that I mentioned in the post above, which will allow you to get questions answered regarding the lesson and homework material.

Thanks!
