When a question stem says "Which one of the following statements could be false?"...

I know to convert "could be false" to "not necessarily true."

Does this mean that 4 of the answer choices MUST be true, and 1 answer choice (the correct one) will be "not necessarily true"?

Hi LSAT Novice,

Yes! Just like with a Could Be True question, where 4 answer choices will be false and only one possibly true (meaning it may have to be true), Could Be False questions have 4 answer choices that must be true and one answer choice that either may be true or false or must be false.

Good job!
