Hi there

I originally intended to apply for the 2019-2020 academic year, and completed the 2018-2019 FAFSA in order to do so. Unfortunately, things got delayed by a year and I am now looking to apply for 2020-2021. Do I need to complete a new FAFSA for 2019-2020, or will schools accept the 2018-2019 FAFSA for the upcoming academic year?

Any advice is much appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi Pianoless!

Congrats on your decision to go to law school! Unfortunately, we at PowerScore are not experts in financial aid. For the best information, I would contact the schools that you are applying to as financial aid policies and processes can vary from school to school. Typically, you will need to fill out a new FAFSA form each year that you are enrolled in school. So you will most likely need to fill out a new FAFSA as it's possible your financial situation has changed over the past year. But again, the schools themselves will be your best resource for financial aid questions.

Best of luck in your application process!

Best,
Kelsey
