Distinguishing between Justify the Conclusion and Strengthen

Hi,

I am having difficulty distinguishing particular wording of justify the conclusion question stem and that of the strengthen question stem? For example, Who does the phrase "helpful in establishing that the conclusion is properly drawn" imply a strengthen question and not a justify question? how is it different from the phrase "allow the conclusion to be properly drawn"?

It's that word "helpful," dsamad! It's the difference between "will you carry my groceries" and "will you help carry my groceries." The first is 100% on you to do the entire job, and that's like Justify. The second is not necessarily all on you to do the job - I might carry some, or another friend may help out, but you are not totally responsible for doing the job. That's Strengthen! When you see words like "help" and "most" in the stem, you are not looking at a Justify stem. Justify questions are all about getting you 100% of the way to the conclusion all on their own!
