Hi :)

I want to apply early decision this upcoming fall, but I was wondering if early decision is also rolling like regular decision?
Some of the schools I’m considering have their early decision apps open Sept. 1, so would it help me to submit my apps that first week of Sept. rather than closer to the deadline?
I checked the schools’ website and it has a deadline for early decision applications, but not on if it would be better to submit as early as possible...
Just curious if you have any info on this :)

Thank you! :)

Hi sparrrkk_ ,

They'll assess them as they come in, but because the window is so much shorter, the impact is minimal. Per usual, the applicants who really jump out numerically will get immediate consideration, and earlier decisions for ED. So, if your numbers are competitive but not overwhelming, there's not the usual small bonus of applying early (again, the short window has the biggest dampening effect).

Thanks!
