Hello PowerScore,

I purchased the LSAT Bible Trilogy and have been using them to study for the last three months, but have recently completed them. I am currently registered for the July LSAT. I am still not quite where I want to be with my score, so I was looking into purchasing either the live online course that starts next week, or the Advanced Courses. On my most recent practice test, I scored 157 and my goal is 165+. I was wondering which course you would suggest. I feel that a live course may be good for me, but can also see how the advanced courses could be beneficial. I'm not totally sure of the difference in content between the live online and advanced courses, but I feel that I have a decent grasp of the concepts from the bibles am continuing to review them. Any and all help would be very appreciated.

Thank you,

Peter

Hi Peter!

Thanks for the post, and good questions! To compare the syllabi of the courses, please refer to the links below: The advanced courses cover the toughest LSAT questions ever to appear on the test, and they discuss rare question types and structures. Therefore, these courses are meant for students already scoring at a high level with a strong grasp of the fundamental concepts. This is a pre-recorded course, so you would work at your own pace.

The Live Online Course starts with the fundamentals and it builds up to the advanced concepts. The course is therefore more comprehensive, as it is designed for students performing at all levels. The Live Online course also comes with more content than the advanced courses — practice tests and test scoring feedback, a coursebook, comprehensive homework and explanations, and more. The live online course also comes with the benefit of being able to ask questions during the live session.

From the sounds of it, the Live Online Course may be a better fit due to having more material to prep you for the test. The course will cover the same concepts you reviewed in the Bibles, so the earlier lessons may seem a bit redundant, but as they are presented in a different format, this may help clarify and solidify any concepts you were shaky on.

If you're concerned that the Live Online Course may be too slow of a pace for you, we do have the same course in a pre-recorded, self-paced format, The On Demand Course. Just something else to add to your list to consider. :-D

However, without knowing exactly where your strengths and weaknesses lie, it's difficult to give the best recommendation possible. (It may be, for example, that are missing specific question types, maybe only on the advanced question types, in which case the advanced courses may be best for you!) We would be happy to discuss in more detail which option may be right for you, so please feel free to follow up with any additional questions, or you can call us at 1-800-545-1750. :)

Thank you!
