I was wondering if the new score preview option counts for the writing section or so if I cancel my score it would also cancel my writing sample?

I also wanted to know if you got a score you're happy with but with a bad writing section to have the option to cancel the writing but keep the LSAT score? Thanks

(I underestimated the writing section, I found out I had two HUGE grammar issues in my essay after the fact, I really really really don't want law schools to read it now haha) :-D

Hi Ryan,

Unfortunately, the writing sample will stay in your file no matter if you cancel. LSAC will send up to your three most recent writing samples along with your application. If you take the test again, you can ask to take another writing sample, but you have to specifically request it.

Based on what you've said though, I don't think you have anything to worry about. The writing sample isn't something admissions officers will pour over, analyzing every word choice. They may not even read it. As long as you made a clear, coherent, reasonable argument I wouldn't worry about it at all.

Hope that helps!
