Complete Question Explanation
(The complete setup for this game can be found here: lsat/viewtopic.php?t=885)

The correct answer choice is (D)

Normally, “5 if” questions such as this one should be avoided until the very end of a game. But, when a game is attacked with templates, “5 if” questions consume no more time on average than any other type of question. Template #1 shows that answer choice (D) must be true, and thus (D) is correct.

Answer choice (A) is incorrect because when light 2 is on then light 6 can be off or on. Note that the answer to question #6 can be used to disprove this answer as well.

Answer choice (B) is incorrect because light 1 could be on instead of light 2.

Answer choice (C) is incorrect because light 3 is always on.

Answer choice (E) is incorrect because when light 6 is off then light 1 is off.
