Complete Question Explanation
(The complete setup for this game can be found here: lsat/viewtopic.php?f=303&t=7341)

The correct answer choice is (A)

The Not Laws show that G cannot attend the first, second, third, or sixth classes. Thus, G is shown as a dual-option on the fourth and fifth classes, and answer choice (A) is correct.

Hi Brennan,

The more information you can give us on your thought process the more we can help you figure these out.

For this one, we want to know where G could go. To do that, we want to think about how many slots must be filled before G, and how many must be filled after G.

To put G as early as possible, we have to put a male in first, because a male must be before K, who must be before all the other female students. We know K has to be before the other female students (including G), so we put K in 2. IL also has to be before G, so we'd put those students in slot three. That would put G in slot 4. That's the earliest G could possibly go.

Now we try to push G one slot later. Can we do this? Sure. We know P and O both need to be after G, but they could be in the same slot 6. N could be in 1, K in 2, IL in 3, S in 4, and that would put G in fifth. That's a fine solution too.

Can we put G in the final spot? No, because we know that P and O both need to go after G so G cannot be last.

That leaves us with just slot 4 and 5, answer choice (A).

Hope that helps!
Rachael
