Complete Question Explanation
(The complete setup for this game can be found here: lsat/viewtopic.php?f=159&t=11958)

The correct answer choice is (B)

This question tests whether you recognized that the linkage between the second and third rules forces both G and L to audition earlier than K. Accordingly, answer choice (B) is correct.

I understand why B works and that L has to audition before K. But, I am confused why A does not also work. Why does L not have to audition before H?

Thanks!

Hi Emily!

L does not have to audition before H in the following scenario (from 1-6):

JHLGKF

As we can see here, L auditions after H without violating any of the rules (there is still one space between J and L, the JH sequence is in tact, the GK sequence is in tact, and the GL block is in tact). So, while it can be true that L auditions earlier than H, it does not have to be true!

I hope this helps! :)
