The correct answer choice is (B).

The correct answer must involve an authority figure who takes copyrighted material, gets it reproduced by a third party, and uses it for teaching purposes (lines 13-16). Answer choice (B) is the only one that incorporates those important elements.

I got this question correct, but wasn't sure what makes (D) incorrect. I think (D) starts off ok with reproducing paintings, but the second half about the intent is to sell at a gift shop implies that the artist is exploiting the content of the work for profit, which is not similar to the fact pattern in the passage.

Hi LSAT,
Thank you for the quesion.

The problem with (D) is that the artist makes the reproductions instead of sending to a third party. The choir director in (B) is more like the professors since they send to a recording studio to make the copies.

I hope that helps.
