I'm having a hard time understanding this question "what is the total number of soft names whose exact ranks can be deduced from the partial survey results"?

Welcome to the forum and thanks for the question! I imagine that's a question from a game about soft drinks, where you're trying to order them based on the rules. All that question is asking is essentially "for how many of the soft drinks do you know its/their exact position?" So if you knew, for instance, that a specific drink always had to be third, and another drink always had to be sixth, then the answer would be "Two."

Does that make sense?

Also, if you want to give me the specific game and question number I can take a closer look :)
