Hello Powerscore,

I am scheduled for the November LSAT, and very recently I was feeling optimistic about my prospects for my target score if I can focus on my studies for the next couple of weeks. However, things at work have gotten pretty insane, and I don't know if I will have the time I thought I would to study leading up to the LSAT. Is it better to just reschedule, or take the exam anyway and see how I do, even though I may not be able to study very much in the next few weeks? If I take the test and get below my target score, should I cancel (I have LSAT preview for this test)? Thank you.

Hi Canuck,

The answer here depends on how close you are to your target score. If you still have significant studying you need to do and you have a big gap to close until you meet your target score, then you may want to hold off until you're ready.

But, if you're somewhat close to your target score, or think there's a chance you still could get a decent score, then go for November! This way, you'll still have the January LSAT to fall back on if November does not go well. The score preview option is a bonus as well, as this will allow you to cancel the November score if it's way lower than you expected.

Also, keep in mind that schools will only care about the highest LSAT score you received, so one lower score (or cancelation) on your record won't be an issue if you have a second, higher score!

I hope this helps! Thanks!
