Hi janaeboo92,
Deciding on how to get started with LSAT test prep can be overwhelming at first, but you've already made at least two good decisions: you're asking for advice, and you're asking us
. We've been in this business for almost two decades now, so I am pretty confident we have LSAT prep down to a science (almost).
First, you need to decide how much time you have on your hands and what your budget is. Test prep is not cheap, but the benefits almost always outweigh the costs (not the least because many schools offer merit-based aid for applicants with high LSAT scores). The most obvious choice, and one that works for almost anyone who starts from zero, is to take a prep course. Both our full-length and live online courses include all the prep materials you need, cover every single relevant technique, and provide you with a copy of every single licensed exam. They also come with homework help, explanations, student hotline, etc. In a way, by signing up for a course, you avoid having to make any of the decisions you seem to be worried about: we do that for you! The downside, of course, is that courses aren't cheap, and require a significant commitment of time (approx. 20 hrs/week, incl. homework time and practice tests). You can compare our course offerings here:

If taking a course is not an option, you can study for this on your own. Many students have been able to raise their scores significantly by using our flagship self-study guides, such as the Logic Games Bible (which has been the #1 bestseller for many years, and was recently updated). Self-study requires a lot of discipline, but it is absolutely doable if you make a plan and follow it religiously. For the best 3-month guide on how to use our Bible trilogy of study guides, check out this blog post:
