Hi, Is there any place where I can see passages being Diagrammed>?

I'm in the summer 1 course and find it hard to practice my diagramming. I don't think Reading comprehension questions are done in class or in the student center homework supplements. The answer keys provided for our homework leave me guessing as to how I could have diagrammed my passage better.

The Drills on 6-31 to 6-33 are fantastic but I need more.
The Drills on 2-79 to 2-81 help for viewpoints only

If you know of any outside resource that can help me that would be great also.

Thanks for your help!

Thanks for your question, and for your kind words about our materials; I am glad to know that you have found them helpful. As is mentioned in the directions to the first drill you referred to, the idea of that exercise is not to dictate how you should be diagramming, but to provide suggestions for you to form your own personal ideal approach.

It's great that you are interested in more practice; many students don't put enough effort into mastering Reading Comprehension. The nice thing about this section is that you can confirm the effectiveness of your own work. Unlike Logic Games, where there is often an ideal setup and diagram, in RC the ideal diagramming depends on the reader.

The step that often gets skipped is the retrospective analysis. Students will often diagram a passage, answer the questions, check their work, and move on. Instead, when you have finished working on an RC section, and reviewing the questions, take a look at how you diagrammed the passage, and assess how satisfied you are with your work. Did you diagram it effectively so that you could see the different perspectives? highlight important terms? Did you find that your approach allowed you to efficiently and effectively attack all of the questions? If so, that's great. If not, consider what you could have done better, and apply that lesson to your next passage.

Please let me know whether this makes sense, and keep us posted on your progress--thanks!
