Hi Cry27!
I can hear the frustration in your words, and I'm very sorry to hear you had that dip in score. Good news, though! It is very common, mid-study cycle, to see a drop in score. Our friend Nikki recently wrote a blog post (
http://blog.powerscore.com/lsat/bid/309 ... st-Go-Down) discussing this very phenomenon. It's not uncommon, and doesn't mean that your skill is decreasing or that you won't break that 160.
Also, sometimes you'll find that a certain test just had your number. Dave wrote an article about the idea that while the LSAT is an extremely consistent test, there are fluctuations in content that can affect your score from test to test (
http://blog.powerscore.com/lsat/bid/310 ... SAT-Casino). The moral of that story is not to panic when you see fluctuations. Also, review the test to see if you can tell whether there was a certain predominance of question type that may have exposed a weakness in your preparation. If so, congratulations! You just got a hint from the LSAT about how to beat it next time.
In any event, please check out the resources I've linked above. If have remaining concerns afterwards, don't hesitate to write back.
Thanks!
Ron
