Hi Kakul,

You are asking about two very different degrees, and very different schooling patterns. Since we specialize in law school on this board, I'll address that portion of your question. There are many good law schools in the US, and a number of organizations have ranked them over the years in an attempt to determine which ones are truly the best. While the best law school for each person is somewhat different, here is a list of various rankings that you might find interesting:
What's typically needed for applying to law school? A bachelor's degree or a degree in progress, a decent GPA, a decent LSAT score, a personal statement, letters of recommendation, and extracurriculars. There's quite a bit to the process, so this is obviously just a very broad overview.

Thanks and good luck!
