Hello,

My name is David, I'm from South America, from a non-english speaking country. I've obtained my college diploma in my home country, and I haven't had any exposure to the english language besides the preparation for this exam. In the information that has to be filled out before proceeding to the questions in the actual LSAT exam, there are two fields that have to be filled out and state the following "Dominant Language: English; Other" and "English fluency: Yes; No"

If I fill out "No" in the English fluency field, does that have any repercussions (good or bad) in my overall score?

If so, how?

Thank you all for your comments.

Regards,

David.

Hi David,

Thanks for your question; it's an interesting one! According to a contact at LSAC, that is intended for tracking of demographic information. However, based on the fact that you are taking the LSAT, which certainly requires a command of the English language, and on your flawlessly worded post, might I suggest that you check Yes?

Let me know your thoughts--thanks!
