Good evening PowerScore team,
I am working on applications this cycle and have a question about using LORs from a few years ago. First, I am getting a current LOR from my supervising attorney at a law firm where I've been a legal assistant the past few years. I initially was going to apply to law school in 2021 and at that time got an LOR from an undergrad professor (graduated in 2020) and the attorney I worked for at the time in 2021 (job prior to current). I decided to not apply that cycle for personal reasons and now plan to utilize the 2021 professor and attorney LORs which I believe to both be very strong recommendations as well as the one from my current boss. Would you expect adcomms to take any issues with LORs that are a few years old as long as there is at least one current LOR submitted? I'm hoping the age of the letters would be outweighed by a demonstration of my abilities over the years from college through my two legal jobs post-graduation. I would really like to use these letters but also don't want to run the risk they turn into a red flag or cause any concerns for reviewers. Is there any reason to be concerned about using these older letters?
Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer!
