Hello,

The author reasons that the projectile didn't come from near Eurasia, so settlers must be from far Eurasia. However, if *no* Eurasians used that projectile (as answer A essentially says), then near or far doesn't matter. Maybe it was a settler from some other continent who used the projectile, say.
