I have questions pertaining to some of the questions from this passage:

10) I understand why D) is correct, but why is A) wrong? I thought lines 41-43 ("only technical...as experimental") supported it but I think I missed something. Is A) wrong because the author did not give her/his opinion about the definition?

Answer choice (A) is half-right, half-wrong. Yes, the prevailing view relies on a somewhat narrow definition of what "experimental filmmaking" is. However, this is not a definition of technical experimentation but of experimental filmmaking in general. Furthermore, there is no evidence that the definition is espoused by mainstream filmmakers. We actually don't know who espouses the prevailing notion mentioned in lines 38-42.
