Hello PowerScore People!

I took the full length prep course.. took the test in September and received a 154 (which was about 5 points lower than what I had been scoring on all practice exams). I decided to take the test again because I know I am capable of scoring better.

I have been studying much different this time around aka not as freakishly intense as I previously did. SO my question is about a practice test that I just took. It was the June 2009 test. I have taken this test before but it was the second test I ever took, which was about 3 months ago. I don't really remember any of the questions, passages, or games (I probably should have), but I did not start adequately reviewing my tests until a little later. I score a 166 on this practice exam. Under timed conditions and everything. I just wanted an opinion on this score? Is it maybe a bit of a fluke?

Hi K,

That's an interesting question. Nice work on that recent test! It's difficult to speculate about what led to the improvement. It might be partly attributable to your previous exposure to the test, but it is not necessarily a fluke either. I would recommend taking another practice test (one that you haven't seen previously) to be sure that you have an accurate picture of where you're scoring.

I hope that's helpful! Please let me know--thanks!

Steve
