Hi,

In the Statement Negation Drill Answer Key, can you explain why the verb in #9 is modified with "not necessarily" while the verb in #10 is negated only with "not"?

Hi Kara,

Thanks for your question. Functionally, those examples are comparable; you could remove "necessarily" from the first example without changing the type or level of impact of the negated assumption.
