Hi;
I have been studying the LSAT for about 6 months! I began my prep from PT 30-60 ( test after test, perhaps not a very wise idea). I am now at it again, in hopes of improving from 140s. I have not seen they very early Tests (1-29) and luckly, since I took a short break I never got the chance to do the 61-70s.( or else I would have destroyed those as well).

I would like to know , if the older tests would be useful in helping me improve my score? for the next 30 days or so, or should I resort to just re- doing the 30-60s?

if you could shed some light into these older tests , I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks
-John

Hey John,

Thanks for the question! This one comes up enough that I wrote a blog post about it that might help. Please check http://blog.powerscore.com/lsat/bid/282 ... lder-LSATs and let me know if that helps.

One cool thing is that logic doesn't change over time, so the basis of those older tests is still relevant, and, older LSATs have some wicked LG sections, so it's great to see those and get challenged at a high level. There is at times a different emphasis on certain questions types or concepts, but there's no harm at all in doing those older tests, and quite a great deal of benefit.

Thanks and happy new year!

Thank you, this link was what I needed.
I will start those very old sections. I feel I would gain more by practicing questions I have not seen before. and thank you for letting me know logic does not change. everyone I have spoken to in regards to the matter, have told me to stay away from older tests as they have changed so much . I actually did a PT 10 today , and for someone who is scoring what I am scoring 140.. theres no way I would see that trend change, ( if there is any).
