Hey Jax09876, thanks for asking! It's true that our books mostly focus on the core concept games, the ones that are likely to make up at least 3 if not all 4 of the games on any given test. There's only so much time available in our courses to cover those materials, so we have to get the foundational concepts first. We do have a chapter in our LG Bible on "the Forgotten Few" that deals with rarer game types like mapping, pattern, and circular games, and we now have a pattern game in our full length course book as well as a few odd, older games in some of the lesson homework. We're always working on updated materials, and you will likely see more focus on the rare games in an upcoming edition of the LG BIble.
In the meantime, though, you have this forum! For example, if you want to get help and explanations of the games from the June 2017 test, we have them here:
lsat/viewforum.php?f=1222
In fact, there are threads for every recent test and most older ones, all of which should give you a setup with an explanation for how it was built, and then threads for every question of every game. Give those a look and see if they provide some of what you need. I expect you will find them useful as a living, breathing supplement to the books.
Thanks for working with us! Good luck on your test.
