Main Point RC

I'm sure this has been covered before. But I'm wondering if the MP of a RC passage is always a particular sentence(s) or is it derived by coming up with a synthesis of what you think it is in your prephrase?

Hi Josh,

Unlike in Logical Reasoning arguments, in Reading Comprehension the Main Point isn't always provided in one sentence in the passage. Often you do need to come up with it yourself as a prephrase based the key idea or ideas that the author is trying to convey in the passage. I recommend always trying to prephrase the Main Point immediately after you finish reading the passage even if there isn't a specific Main Point question being asked.
