Great work here. I'd agree with your reasoning in general, but I wouldn't really get that far into the reasoning on the test. I completely agree with your reasoning on answer choice (B)---we are looking for a reason, not a requirement. The "because" in the question stem is doing a lot of work, but it's important to pick up on those subtle clues the test makers give us.
