(A) She doesn't reject procedure on constitutional grounds since her recommendation is one that is allowed by the club's constitution.

(B) Although the last line of the stimulus states, "Clearly, we should subject meeting agendas to majority vote" that doesn't necessarily indicate that every decision should be made via majority vote, just the meeting agendas.

(C) She does not suggest a change to the constitution at all.

(D) She lands on a recommendation by eliminating alternative options. This is correct answer

(E) This one was tricky, but ultimately eliminated because she argues against the alternative options, not those who advocated for them.

I was between D and E, and I eliminated E for the reason above, but I could've convinced myself either one was right if I lingered on it longer.

Hi Mmjd12,

Overall, your analysis of the answers looks really good.

Here are a few points to consider.

First, this is a Method of Reasoning question. It's always a good idea to prephrase an answer before looking at the answer choices as you will be less likely to be tempted by them. Here, if you realize that Lahar mentions the 3 possible options and rules out 2 of them in order to select the one remaining, that should be a good prephrase to lead you to Answer D.

As for Answer A, your explanation isn't exactly the reason that this answer is wrong. This answer is referring to the procedures that Lahar rejected (unanimous consent and forming a committee) rather than the procedure that Lahar chose. The reason that Answer A is wrong is that Lahar didn't reject these answers on constitutional grounds as they were all permitted under the club's constitution. Lahar rejected them on other, more practical grounds. In other words, if Lahar had rejected other procedures that weren't allowed under the constitution and only majority vote was allowed by the constitution, that would describe this answer. Answer A is an example of a "half-right, half wrong" answer trap that is common in these Method questions in which the answer starts off correct but then goes wrong at the end.

For Answer E, you are correct that Lahar doesn't attack those advocating for the alternatives but just the options themselves.
