February 2024 LSAT Discussion and Information

As February's LSATs conclude, test takers throughout the US and Canada naturally wonder what to make of their experience, and are eager to hear more about the experiences of others. To aid in that, this thread allows you to provide general feedback about your test, and will serve as a one-stop repository for all of the details that PowerScore users submit.

This information can then help you better predict your own scoring outcomes, and determine whether to keep or cancel your score (although these days you rarely should cancel since only your highest score matters). Here is LSAC's note regarding test discussion:

• REMINDER: Under your Candidate Agreement, you may not discuss the details of any specific LSAT questions at any time. For the February LSAT, general discussion of what sections you had, or how difficult you found a given section, or speculation about which sections were scored or unscored, is prohibited until after 7pm ET, Tuesday, February 13th. Posts that violate these rules will be taken down and may result in disciplinary action from LSAC. Let’s work together to ensure the test is fair to everyone, and not share information before everyone has taken the test.
  
  Some examples of typical comments:
  
  Okay: the section on Cambodian woodworking really had me second guessing everything.
  Over the line: the passage on Cambodian woodworking didn’t count.
  
  Okay: a few of the games had me confused but think I was okay.
  Over the line: I had Cambodian woodworking, Fireflies, and rice farming in Iowa so Lithuanian Lithograph Libraries was experimental.
  
  Okay: overall fair test, struggled on a couple of RC passages (damn you polymorphic molecules) but think I was okay hoping for a -2 or -3

I took the Feb 2024 LSAT, and feel pretty defeated. The test has definitely changed, and I feel like it will continue in this new trend with LG being eliminated. AGHHHH!

My mind was in a state of turmoil after taking the LSAT. Despite spending hours, days, weeks, and four months preparing for the test, it was nothing like I expected. The logic games were completely different from what I had been taught, and I noticed they were based more on specific keywords and phrases. While attempting the logic games, I realized that the tables I was taught to use were relatively useless. The clock is your enemy and common sense is your only shield of defense. Furthermore, the timer was extremely frustrating - when you have just five minutes left, the computer gives you a warning. However, it takes around 30 seconds to clear the screen, which is a major distraction from the test. I have to complete my writing sample now, hopefully, I feel more confident with the writing sample than I am with the actual LSAT.

Nothing out of the ordinary about LG. That made me extremely delighted, since LG used to be my poorest area and even after two months of studying them exclusively, I still get stuck and freeze when playing strange games. While exhausting, double RC was also hardly out of the ordinary for any of them. Though I generally think LR is the easiest segment, I felt like it was harder than usual. I hoped this would be my final test ever! The following are LSAC's helpline lines in case you encounter any problems.

The two LR portions were terrifying. The initial segment was easy to get through in the first half, but the second half got harder. I've never met a piece of LR as difficult as the 25 question segment. I often fly through an LR section's first fifteen questions with little difficulty. After answering the first ten questions in that stupid section, I was spinning. That part destroyed me totally, even though I felt my formal logic was absolutely sound. In my opinion, the LR component was significantly more challenging than any test, such as 85, 86, or 71. I hope the first LR portion was the actual one because I had trouble with it. What an absolute nightmare.
