Lesson 8: Comparative Reading Passage 3 (1-5)

I have two questions regarding this passage:

In question number 3, I know the correct answer is A. However, I'm having a little trouble finding where the "Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter" played a role in passage B.

In question number 4 answer choice C, does "liquids" exclude water?

Hi sarae,

In response to your first question, the correct answer choice must be consistent with passage B. That just means that the statement can't be inconsistent with that passage.

In response to your second question, not necessarily--the point is that there are other possible causes of those patterns.

Oh so it doesn't necessarily have to be included? As long as there isn't any contradicting information in the passage?
