Hi Cleo!

You could do a conditional diagram here but, as you've discovered, it might end up just confusing things more than helping. Think conceptually about the rules that are being given. "One should always capitalize the main words and the first and last words of a title." Does that mean that every time you capitalize, it must be a main word or the first and last word of a title? Or does it mean that when you have main words or first and last words of a title, you must capitalize them? The second interpretation makes more sense with what we've been told: If it's a main word or the first and last word of a tile, then you must capitalize it.

Hope this helps!

Best,
Kelsey

I cannot answer this question without a diagram, so I'm here to confirm that my diagram is correct.

Main
1st  Capitalize
Last

Middle Article
Middle Proposition <5  /Capitalize
Middle Conjunction <5

(D) is incorrect because there could be other premises that can result in Capitalize.
(B) is kind of saying "He is 60 years old, so he could not be 6yrs old or 7yrs old". We can argue that he could not be 61 years old, too, but we cannot deny that the statement is true.

Hey ZoeZoe,

I'm not sure I understand your comparison for answer choice (B) - but I would think of it in terms of the fact that (B) doesn't break any of the rules outlined for capitalization in the stimulus. If the word in the middle of the article is capitalized, then it definitely can't be an article or conjunction with less than 5 letters, because that would violate the stimulus. We can say that answer choice (B) must be true.
