Hello,
I was in between answers A and B for this, and ultimately went with A. I can see now how B is correct, but I am still a bit confused about what is wrong about A. Can you explain for me?

Hey Claudia,

A good way to check whether you have correctly identified the conclusion of a stimulus is to ensure that the remaining part of the stimulus, which would be the premises, actually support that conclusion.

So, if we say answer choice (A) is right, then the conclusion is "In the near future, bank customers will be able to transact all their financial business by means of computers or telephones from their own homes."

Our support for the idea that this will happen in the near future would have to be the remaining information - the idea
1. that "that may be more of a paradise for banks than for their customers."
and 2. that "As banks eliminate their branch offices and customer-service employees, customers will have to serve as their own tellers—and pay more transaction fees for their efforts."

With the stimulus broken down this way, hopefully you can see that our remaining 2 ideas don't build up to support answer choice (A). Instead, (A) is introducing a concept which it then presents an issue with - the author's big idea here is actually that even though banks envision this future, it might not be best for the customer.

Hope that helps!
