Since there are different tests for each day of a test for the same month, is there also a different scale for each of those tests?

Also - if each day is a different test, when someone refers to "the January 2021 LSAT" which day are they referring to, since there are 4 different January 2021 lsats, each day being different

Hi Tessa,

In short, the answer is yes, but as is often the case with the LSAT it's even more complicated than that.

Each day doesn't feature just one test form. Instead, they use multiple sections and mix and match those sections over all four days. So, you and I might have the same scored RC on a Thursday, but then have totally different scored LR. Each of our tests will then have it's own specific scale.

Overall, each unique test form has its own scoring scale.

Thanks!

Since each day typically has multiple test forms in use, when people say "January 2021" they are referring to the whole of the tests administered, not a specific day. That's because the same RC section could appear every day of the exam, so identifying a specific day isn't often useful (unless you are watching the pattern of how they administer sections and when they appear, which isn't useful for students usually).

Thanks!
