Hi,

How likely is it to find a contradiction that seems to invalidate one of the rules? For example, June 2001 Game 4.

Hi Angela,

It's relatively rare, but it does happen occasionally. It's a less frequently occurring phenomenon on the more recent games, however.

What you will also see occasionally is an amending pair of rules, such as:

  • M and N are consecutive (meaning MN or NM)
    M is ahead of N (meaning only MN is possible, and NM is eliminated)
