Hello there,

I took the LSAT yesterday, and my nerves got the best out of me during the first section, I barely made it to question 20 before they called the "5 minutes left" announcement, I kept re-reading the stimulus to try and focus. I also barely made it to the 4th LG, I keep thinking of all the questions on the 3 LR sections, and feel like I didn't do as well as I should've.
I almost finished all the practice tests you provided, and thought that the Oct. LSAT was much easier than yesterday's exam. Or maybe it was about the same, but I wasn't as nervous as yesterday.
Now the question, I took the LSAT once before about 3 years ago, so this is my second time, I do not want to cancel, as I'm not sure I did that bad, however, if my score is not as good as I want it to be, does it look bad if I re-take the LSAT a third time?
Thanks
Sarah

Hi Sarah,

Thanks for the information. I'm sorry to hear that nerves got to you during the exam. Keeping those in control can be really hard, so don't feel bad about that happening. If you do take the LSAT again, that mental preparation aspect is probably something you will want to spend even more time on, just to feel as confident as possible :-D

Now to your question. A while back, having that third score would have caused some problems. But, now that most law schools have changed the way they look at scores (and now mostly ignore the average score and only take the highest score), having a third score on your record won't be a problem. That's even moreso the case because your first score is from roughly three years ago. So, I don't think it will be an issue to have a third result there.

Please let me know if that helps. Thanks!

Thanks Dave, that does help a lot!

I was very worried it will make my chances lower having a third score, but I do trust your advice, you guys know what you're talking about :-D , so I will re-take the LSAT, if I do not end up getting the score I want - conditional reasoning here!
