What is this question asking for?

I have the order of variables as PSTVRWM

The answer is B, but I am not sure what it is really asking for?

Hey Brett,

That's a good question--often figuring out what they're asking for is half the battle! In this case, the variable are ordered by their proximity to the entrance (the first in the list is closest to the entrance, the second is second closest, and so on).

So, the question is really asking for which of the answer choices must the first painting listed precede the second in the lineup.
