Hi there,

I have a test day question. I tend to skip around on LG and RC. To hold my place I usually make small tick marks off to the side of the numbers on the scantron sheet so I don't mess up bubbling in each passage. Is this going to be a problem for scoring the sheet later? Should I start getting in the habit of not marking that sheet except for bubbling answers?

Thanks in advance.

You'll be fine, and many people do something similar. Just make sure that you make the tick just to the left of the black bar that surrounds the box. Even if you make it inside it won't be a problem, but that further decreases the chance of any issue.

Thanks!

Ah ok, so it won't matter if I don't erase the marks then? Thanks!

That is correct, no need to erase. I've never see it be an issue previously, and if by some incredible chance it was an issue then you could request hand scoring.

Thanks!
