I’m thinking about going to law school, but don’t have time to go full-time. Do you have a list of which law schools have part-time programs?

Hey hanson,

Check out this link: http://www.bc.edu/offices/careers/grads ... ttime.html - it has a list of all schools with part-time programs. Schools in 39 states offer them. One thing you'll notice, though, is that the only T14 school that offers a PT program is Georgetown (you can view more info about their PT program here http://www.law.georgetown.edu/admission ... meDivision and here http://www.law.georgetown.edu/curriculu ... fm#Evening), so if you were aiming to attending one of those institutions part-time, you won't really be able to.

You should also check out this post on our LSAT and Law School Admissions Blog: http://blog.powerscore.com/lsat/should- ... l-program/ - it talks about part-time programs, and the pros and cons of attending one.

I hope that helped! Please let me know if you have any further questions. :)

Good luck with your applications!

That helped a lot, thanks Anne!

I’ve heard that part-time programs are easier to get into. Is that true?

To a degree, but not always. Particularly for the higher-ranked, more reputable programs, the GPA and LSAT requirements for part-time programs may only be a few points lower (if any) than the full-time programs. Were you thinking about any school in particular?

EasterSudharta, BC doesn't have a part-time law program. Perhaps you were confused by the link from the BC website that I posted above, with links to PT programs? In any case, Boston College doesn't have a part-time law program but, if you're looking at PT programs in Massachusetts, Western New England University School of Law, New England Law - Boston, and Suffolk University Law School do have them.

Best of luck with your program search!
