The answer states that the diagram and contrapositive should be:
Diagram:
buy house :arrow: good credit & large down payment

Contrapositive:
No good credit OR No large down payment :arrow: No buy house

Can someone explain why the diagram and contrapositive couldn't be?
Diagram:
Good credit & large down payment :arrow: buy house

Contrapositive:
No buy house :arrow: No good credit OR No large down payment

Usually I can see the difference in the ordering for the diagram and contrapositives, but this one is not making sense to me.

I can see how you could get confused with this one - "only if" trips up a lot of people. :ras:

"Only if" indicates a necessary condition, not a sufficient one. It's not proven by the statement that, if you have good credit and a large down payment, then you can buy a house, for there could be some other condition preventing you from buying a house...rather, it's if you can buy a house that you then know you have good credit and a large down payment, because you can buy a house only if you have those things.
