Hello,

I often see incorrect answer choices that state there is an internal contradiction in the argument/statements (for the record, I'm not talking about Paradox questions which have 2 contradictory statements)...

I've seen a LOT of LR problems but I can't recall any examples of a LR problem that committed this logical flaw. Perhaps it's a stretch to ask for an example, but I'd love to see one before test day, especially since it's so...tempting sometimes.

Thanks in advance!

An "internal contradiction" is used as a wrong answer far more than it appears as the correct answer, thus there aren't a large number of examples out there.

That said, my favorite example is from the October 1991 LSAT, LR Section 1, #5 about the gas tax. Another great example—albeit harder to discern—is October 1993, LR Section 1, #22 about employment numbers.

Please let me know if that helps. Thanks!
