I noticed that on p. 148 of the LSAT Logical Reasoning Bible, the conditional statement "A if B" is diagrammed as: A --> B
However, on the left-hand-side margin, it rightly states that " 'if' introduces a sufficient condition." As such, shouldn't "A if B" be diagrammed: B --> A ?
Also, the same page states that "A only if B" should be diagrammed: B --> A
However, I would think that this would be the reverse, as the conditional indicator, "only if," modifies "B," which would mean that the sentence should actually be diagrammed: A --> B
Is what is stated on p. 148 correct or is this an error? Please explain.
Thanks,
Sarah
