I, along with so many other people, am waiting for my December LSAT score. My applications are ready to go and I have an old LSAT score available so I could submit my applications. However, that old LSAT score is at the median or just below for my target schools and my GPA isn't high enough where I'd feel confident having those schools review my application without my December score (which I expect to be higher). Should I submit my applications now to get ahead of the massive wave of applications that will come as soon as the December score is released knowing that it can take a little time for LSAC to submit the CAS report and for the school to get to my application so that my December score should be in the application by then? Is there a chance my application would only be reviewed with my old score in this scenario?

Hi Meatyfrenchforehead,

That's a good question. If you don't feel confident in your prospects with the old LSAT score, my advice would be to wait. The December score release appears to be imminent; beyond that, there is no reason to rush out an application with an old score that you feel may be insufficient—and one which you expect to have improved upon with your more recent performance.

I hope that's helpful! Please let me know whether this answers your questions—thanks!

Thanks for the response, Steve. That is helpful and I guess I'll just have to stay patient on that December score.

You are in very good company—we've heard from quite a few students who are anxiously awaiting their scores. Should be pretty soon now, so good luck, and let us know how it goes!
