Hi Powerscore,

I got into Ohio State Moritz College of Law but I ideally want to attend a higher ranked school. Would it be unethical for me to defer admission for one year, then after my 1L transfer to a higher ranked school?

Hi,

I do not think it would be considered unethical to defer and then transfer after your 1L year, although schools will look at your reasons for deferring and what you do with the time off. Your LSAT score will still play a role in transferring, however the overwhelming consideration will be given to your 1L GPA. Best of Luck.
