Re-Starting Prep After Unexpected Break

Hi-

So I started self-study using the six-month schedule, with plans to take the December 3rd LSAT.

Unexpectedly, I had to take a break (approximately 2.5 months). I am starting the three-month program this coming Tuesday. I am now taking the February 4th (2017) test.

Any suggestions on how to most efficiently review the material that I have already been through?

I would SINCERELY appreciate it, as I would definitely like to hit the ground running.

Given three months to prepare (adequate time for most, given diligent, consistent work), I would suggest approaching all the material anew. Frankly, the fundamental subjects introduced in the beginning of a course are of such paramount importance to your success on the LSAT that looking at these topics with a fresh perspective will only enhance your comprehension and ultimately your performance on the test. As an instructor with years of experience, I still learn more every time I work with even basic material. In fact, sometimes the most basic material can hide unnoticed depths of complexity.

As a student, if you are repeating subjects you have already covered, try to find new ways to approach the same problems. Discover efficiencies to employ to increase speed and accuracy. Work on predictions/prephrasing. Given a stimulus and question stem, how could you anticipate what the answer will say or do? Which deduction is an Analytical Reasoning question testing? Also isolate and diagnose weaknesses that you observe in your own process. You have a head start because you've already worked with the material. The part of the course I always wish I could spend more time on is the beginning. You should be in good shape to get a strong foundation on which you will achieve success on the LSAT.

Thanks for the insightful reply. I was completely in the dark regarding how I should approach studying.

I've also purchased the Question Type Training as well as the Workbooks to increase speed and efficiency.
