Reviewing Practice Tests

How do you recommend reviewing sections of a practice test that you have had a lot of difficulty with? I want to review both the questionsI I got correct and incorrect, but its hard when there are only explanations for four tests. In particular, I had trouble with the setup of a logic game and I cannot find the setup in any of the online material or my books purchased with the full length course.

Great question, Lusting! There are a lot of ways to get that extra help you need, and this forum is one of several resources you might use.

If you are in one of our classes, your instructor is an invaluable resource. Show up early, stay late, talk to her at the break, etc. When I teach, it's those extra homework questions that make every class potentially more interesting and engaging, so I welcome them.

Students in some of our classes also have access to the Homework Hotline, which allows you to call during certain weeknight hours and get a one-on-one consultation with an insructor to help answer your questions, talk about setups, etc.

Of course, if you have a tutor, work with him. I think if you had one you probably wouldn't be asking this here, but if you are needing a lot more attention you might consider private tutoring if only to have someone to bounce these questions off. Tutors like to do a lot more than that, typically - we want to talk about concepts and strategies, not just specific games and questions - but it is certainly a part of what we do.

Scour the internet and you will find resources to help with most every game setup ever published. We are building our own archive of those explanations, but it isn't complete yet. You'll find those explanations right here in this forum - just follow the trail of links down through Logic Games to the specific practice test and then to the specific game, and you can get complete setup explanations and even help with specific questions. Some of the games even have videos explaining them.

Can't find it here, or elsewhere online, and you are not in a course and don't have a tutor? Ask us here! Tell us which game from which test, describe your setup and your analysis of the game, and then we will help you figure out what's working and what isn't. We have instructors working on answering these questions all the time, especially weeknights, so you can leave your question and typically get an answer in this forum within a day or two. Sometimes we get a little behind, but we are always working hard to keep up with the demand and will not leave you hanging out to dry.
