Hello,

I am wondering is the experimental section always going to be the last section (other than the writing sample) on the LSAT?

Also, if it is not, is there any way we can know which section will be the experimental section?

Thanks,

Danielle

Hi Danielle,

Thanks for your question!

Unfortunately, there is no way to know which section is the experimental one. The LSAT test-makers can place it in any of the five sections on the test.

The experimental section includes questions that will be used in later LSATs, so it's supposed to look just like any other part of the test. I've heard anecdotally from students that the questions in what turned out to be the experimental section seemed weird or particularly hard, so if you complete a really tough section on test day, take heart in knowing that it might not be one of the graded sections!

Best of luck,
