Dear Dave and other LSAT bible authors,

First of all, Thank you times infinity. Yesterday, I went over my past 2011 lsat bible sets (which you can see if you check my questions yesterday) and I can see why you ask us to choose to buy which year's version' update and certain year it is not really required.

After comparing the difference between the versions, I could find so much evidences of and honestly can say that you guys genuinely update every year LSAT bible set for Main purpose of student should be best prepared for every year LSAT's updates. Not just that, I could see that you guys go over past LSATs and detect the recurring patters from the past that were related to the present changes then kindly enough to update and explain. Even the same concepts and examples that were explained in the past lsat bible sets (which I thought fine job in first place and well enough), I could see that you guys went over extra layers and volumes of troubles in order to explain the concepts easiest way possible compare to prior versions which you guys did not have to do that. (Not even to mentioning the forums)

After these revelations, I can confidently say that you guys publish every year's updates Not for the sake of Money as the main reason, Student's sake is the main reason. I don't think you guys could produce such quality of work if the main motives were money. (Which is probably why current no.1 in the LSAT market)

Now this is the questions: after comparing with some of past versions, I saw that you guys deleted some of the concepts in RC bible following: in topics that generate questions, you guys deleted tracking viewpoints (which I saw that you guys emphasized this is important anyways to do well in some part in RC Bible, but i forgot exact location,)

In chapter 7, commonality passage themes, passage relationship, a
Author's agree, author's disagree , author's conclusion questions &
passage Aggregate.
In chapter 8, The narrative Form, Narrative with positional analysis,
Narrative testing examples .

Should I foreget these concepts? as in these concepts are no longer relevant and valuable for LSATs published after since 2011.

Also, should I apply 2016 update version's all three areas of lsat concepts to the past lsats if I can see that this can be useful ?

also, should I apply to 2011 version's knowledge and knolwedge and concepts in logic bible sets to 2013-2016 Lsat practice tests where i do see these ideas can be in use? Or my comprehension of quesitons , stems, or passage are misguided or Misunderstood therefore believe these past knowledge from 2011 can be applied?

I'm glad you're learning so much from the Powerscore books! :-D

In answer to your questions:

First, there's no need to forget any of the concepts you've already learned. For example, tracking viewpoints throughout a RC passage is an important skill to know and use, even if it no longer gets its own discrete section in the book. The concept is still included in the Powerscore Bibles and taught in Powerscore classes. You'll be better off for having mastered these skills, keep using them!

As to your question about 2011 concepts vs 2016 concepts -- the underlying concepts have not changed. You can use the concepts from the 2011 book to tackle 2016 LSAT questions, and vice versa. The Powerscore Bibles aim to teach students about formal logic, conditional reasoning, diagramming, active reading, and so on. These skills don't really change over time.

You may be wondering, why do we update the books? Powerscore makes changes to the books to emphasize heavily tested concepts and de-emphasize less-frequently tested concepts, which change over time. We also make changes aimed at making the concepts easier to understand and apply on the test. For example, Powerscore recently made some changes to its diagramming system to make diagramming easier for students to learn and use. But the underlying concept of diagramming to show logical relationships didn't change -- we just found a better way of teaching an existing concept.

In sum, don't fret about which concepts have been given their own section or folded in with another concept's section. As you know, the books are quite long. You won't miss out on anything! Use the most recent book you have to practice and master the key LSAT concepts, then practice using those concepts on practice tests.

Good luck studying!
