A rookie here so quite lots of rudimentary questions :-D

Big thanks in advance.

I have a problem with parallel reasoning basically because of time pressure. Some of them are literally as long as two thirds of the length of a reading comprehension paragraph. So it is VERY DIFFICULT for me to finish them within one minute and twenty seconds. Sometimes it took even like two and half minutes.

Any quicker ways? Or do I have to read through all the five answer choices?

I tried some other methods like comparing the conclusion first then number of variables, bla bla bla, some of them did save lots of time but my mistake rate soared up.

Hi MC,

Thanks for the question! There are tons of strategies for moving through these questions faster, and so I want to refer you to those. Are you in a course of ours or do you have the LSAT Logical Reasoning bible? Let me know, and we can start by referring you to the proper section/page number. The explanations in those materials will be far more comprehensive than we are capable of posting here.

Thanks!

Hi, DK, thank you so very much.

Yes, I've just read through the Logic Reasoning Bible. So would you please have few more words on the paralleling part? Lots of big thanks.

Hi MC,

Great, that's good to know! The thing here is that the LRB provides a comprehensive approach for handling Parallel questions at the highest possible rate of speed—there is a ton of info in there. So, to "have few more words" I need to first know what you are doing right and what's not working for you. So, can you start by telling me what you are looking for, and what you think the basic approach should be? By seeing how you describe the steps, I will be able to tell what should be changed or added. Otherwise, I'm just taking guesses.

Sound good? Thanks!

It's so very nice of you to help, DK.

I'll get one example for you.

Perfect! you can either do it using an example, or if you prefer, you can write out/outline what you see as the basic steps for it. I want to get a sense of how you see the approach to these questions because that will tell me what to change. Whatever way is easiest for you to show me that works for me.

Thanks!
