Are you able to explain why the correct answer is correct? A felt too broad so went with E, but I also realize E is too narrow, focusing on the last half of the passage.

Hi Kristin,

For this question, you have to look a little beyond the first five lines of the passage to get at the "Main Point Statement" within the first paragraph, but it is present beginning on Line 7, in which the statement basically echoes answer choice A. As to A v. E, E is not only too narrow, but makes a specific value judgment that fails to captures the overall main point of the passage, which is more pointed at general caution against making such relatively rash judgments in the absence of sufficient understanding.
