Hi,

I am aiming to take the LSAT in February, and am currently taking an online course with you. My instructor said not to take another practice test after the diagnostic until after lesson 7 or 8, but as someone who has a TON of testing anxiety (especially since this is such an important exam) this seems to be too late for me to take another full timed test. I was originally planning to take the LSAT in December, so I have a lot of practice tests and material, but I'm so confused on how to make the most of the little time I have before the exam and utilize the majority of the material I have as well.

Please help!

Hi Sarina,

It sounds like you are looking for someone to give you permission to go ahead and take your practice tests--sure, go ahead! I think your instructor gave this advice because if you take additional practice tests before learning enough of the course skills, you may get frustrated with a lack of improvement in your score. You may also not put in the necessary amount of time into the course lessons and homework if you are busy doing practice tests instead. Given those dangers, it also sounds like you really want to go ahead with doing more full-length, timed tests and, after all, it's your test. I would say fit in practice tests where you can if you think it will help you feel prepared and get used to focusing for an entire LSAT test, but try to keep the lessons and lesson homework your top priority so you can make the most of your course.

Good luck!
